SPECIALISTSpecialists are Sorcerers who have chosen to lose their elementals, receiving the ability to transform themselves instead. They can fight in two different forms - a metal clad knight or a fiery demon. While the knight form has a strong defense, the demon form is particularly dangerous with his fast attacks. Specialists use the scythe, though they rarely fight when they are not transformed so you will probably never actually see a Specialist attacking with their scythe.

For Specialists, the best build would be a balance between Intelligence and Dexterity and it's highly dependent on your gear:
- Intelligence - for lower levels, it is recommended to put all additional stat points in intelligence as it increases magical attack.
- Dexterity - increases the chance of critical and deadly hit. At low levels, it is more efficient to use Small Crit Potions. With good accessories and extra stat points in DEX, you might be able to do mostly critical hits already in mid-levels. At level 150, with reformed Kyle or Bache accessories, you might shift the balance towards the deadly hits. At higher levels, when your critical or deadly rate is boosted by set seals (170-172 hit rate set for critical, 186-189 mixed set for deadly), extra stat points can be put back into Intelligence.
- Constitution - it's not really worth it. The extra HP and MP you gain when choosing CON can be easily obtained with proper jewels.
