Apprenticeship
[OLD GUIDE COPY]
Being an apprentice is a great thing in Last Chaos, the first things you need to know are fairly simple.
How do I get a guardian?
To choose a guardian, be aware that you can only choose a guardian from the levels 1-30, so the final moment you can choose a guardian is when you are level 29 with 99.99% (or 1 experience left for the next level).
Open the Action Windows ( Alt+J ) or J and then choose the Guardian System button.
- Have time to dedicate to gaining your levels.
- Do not rush your levels, SP is important too!
- Do not expect a "free ride"

3). Click on the player you want to be your guardian, followed by clicking on Apprenticeship Application.
4). Press Confirm to confirm that you want that player to be your guardian.
5). Wait for that player to either accept or decline the application. Note that players are not always playing the game so they may be 'AFK' (Away From Keyboard)
Congratulations, you now have your very own guardian.
After getting a guardian, the Guardian system will show some basic information about your guardian.
His name will be also automatically added to your friend list.
If you no longer wish to have your current guardian as your guardian, you can click on the Abandon Apprenticeship button. Note that after doing so, you only have 2 chances left of being a successful apprentice, this means that you can have 3 guardians in total, one after another. The level limit still applies, you can NOT get a new guardian after level 29.
Apprenticeship Rewards:
- Level 10 - Buff: 50% more EXP for 24h
- Level 20 - Event Weapons + Buff: 50% more SP for 24h
- Level 30 - Buff: 100% more EXP for 24h
- Level 40 - Buff: 100% SP for 24h
- Level 50 - Final Reward: 49+10 weapons, 48-50+10 set and a Rising Star title
Additionally, if a guardian and an apprentice are logged on the same subserver, the apprentice will receive 5% SP bonus, while the guardian gets 2% SP from his apprentice's kills.
Event Weapons:
One of your in game rewards are "event weapons" for your class, this is the same type of weapon your class starts with, so a Rogue will receive Daggers and a crossbow, and a Titan will get a sword and an axe, etc. These weapons are level 21, however, their attack power is equal to one of a level 29 weapon. You can use any weapon 4 levels higher then you, so they are quite good for a very long time. Note that if your inventory is full (no open slot) or you are overweight (100%+) you will NOT get these weapons - you need to have space and weight allowed for it, so don't run around with a ton of stuff you want to sell.
Reward for completed Guardian Program:
Every apprentice that completes their training will receive weapons, one of each dualclass 49 +10 and full new set 48-50 +10, this set looks like the reputation set that the guardian can buy at NPC. As a nice bonus you will also get a "Rising Star" title, which adds 20% to your movement speed for 7 days.
Note the apprentice only will get it if he completes the Guardian Program this means he stay with the guardian till he gets lvl 50.
You also gain knowledge about the game - which can be even more valuable then the prizes themselves, you will carry this knowledge throughout your entire adventure on the game.

Tips to be a successful apprentice
- Don't rush yourself! SP is VERY important, it may seem dull but you should really fight Green or White colored names of the monsters around you, these are about your level, or a little lower, won't level you as fast- but you will gain more SP in the long run.
- Don't expect your guardian to power level you or give you a lot of things just because they chose you, chances are they are way too high of level to party with you for exp (Max level before exp is "capped off" is +15 of yours) and if every guardian gave away everything to start apprentices out, well they couldn't afford to adventure themselves.
- Do feel free to ask your guardian questions about the game, as they should be ready to answer them, or direct you to someplace so you might get your answers.
- Do try to talk to your guardian BEFORE accepting them, so you know if they will be on and ready, or if they even speak the same language as you! They won't be much help if you can't understand French, and they only speak French.
- Try not to Overload your guardian on the first day, you will have all time for questions, so spread them out, most of the time guardians are not just sitting in town waiting for apprentices, they are out leveling themselves.
