Monster combo
[OLD GUIDE COPY]
The monster combo system is a new group dungeon available to all Last Chaos players. Unlike the personal dungeons, you don't need a ticket to access it and you can go in with a whole group of people! The monster combo system allows players to choose what monsters they wish to battle, then places them in one of several dynamic battle fields. This is a really exciting new addition to Last Chaos as it allows both high and low level players the ability to fully customize their battle experience.
Signing up
The Master of Monster Combo NPC can be found in Dratan City. This NPC's location is marked by the red dot on the Dratan City map below. Talking to this NPC will bring up the dialogue window shown below to the right of the map.
Note: that only the party leader may set up the parameters of the dungeon.
Setting up
Option "1. Edit" (edit mode) allows party leaders to choose what monsters they and their party will be fighting inside of the dungeon. Currently, players can choose up to 20 rounds of monsters to fight. Players must choose at least 5 rounds of monsters in order to begin the dungeon.
Monsters can be placed in groups of 5, may all be the same kind, and may add up to 20 max. Each monster slot represents one stage of the dungeon. Different monsters cost different amounts of gold. The minimum entrance fee is 5,290 gold and the maximum entrance fee is 1,800,000 gold (1.8 million). When you choose monsters for the slots, the game will automatically also put in a creature one level higher and another two levels higher than the one you chose. Once the monsters have been chosen by the party leader, he or she will be able to enter the lobby of the dungeon. As soon as the party leader enters the dungeon, the rest of the group will automatically be teleported inside. Inside of the lobby there will be another NPC, and when the whole party gets there you will be allowed to begin the first stage of the dungeon. Note: You cannot summon your pets while in Monster Combo so Knightmare buff yourself and your party before you go in. Once inside, equip your unmounted pet. Even though it will not appear, it can still gain pet experience while you kill the monsters. |
The NPC in the lobby has several options. One of them is the MC Market. The items sold inside the dungeon are different from the items sold in the MC Market by the Master of Monster Combo in Dratan. You can buy potions of haste, healing potions (small, medium, and great) and mana potions (small and medium). There is also a "Recall Party Member" option which you can use to teleport new party members with. Note: They must pay an entrance fee if your party is already part way through. The NPC also gives an option to quit if it gets too hard. Finally, there is the "Move to Stage" which will start you off with the first monster on your list. Note: The monster you chose is not the only ones that spawns, other creatures spawn too. For example: If you chose Dark Goddesses, Skeleton Warriors and Skeleton Lancers will also spawn.
Stages
There are five stages - one for each of the elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Lightning, and Water. Each stage has its own traps specific to its element. These traps are preceded by a glow. A few seconds after the glow, there will be an attack at each glowing area. The attacks are dependent on the element for that stage. For example, the earth stage will have the attacks be akin to Terra Spear. In each stage, waves of the chosen creatures will spawn for your party to fight against. Once all the creatures have been killed, your party will be allowed to move to the next stage. During the battle, you must work as a team to defeat the waves of creatures while also watching out for the traps. An additional word of advice, just before the traps appear, stop attacking. You have to finish an attack before you can move, so if you’ve just started an attack when the floor starts to glow, you will have a lot less time to run (and will probably be hit by the trap).

traps
There are five traps -- one for each element: Water, Fire, Wind, Thunder, and Earth. Every so often, there will be some lighted circles on the floor that will serve as a warning. Make sure to get off of any circle that you all may be standing on because if caught, you will receive 10% of your total health in damage. Anyone can be hit by more than one trap at the same time, So, if you are hit by 4 traps at once, you lose 40% of your health.

Prizes
After completing 5 rounds of a Monster Combo Dungeon you will be able to collect coins. The more combo points (CP) you have, the better the type of coin you will receive. You may use the following set of equations to figure out what monster levels you need to fight to get the combo points you need for the type of coin you want.
(average monster level) / 10 = points per round
(points per round) x (number of rounds) = combo points received
(points per round) x (number of rounds) = combo points received
There are seven types of coins that you may get:
Coin | Old Coin | Coin of Membership | Coin of Performer | Coin of Manager | Coin of Master | Elite Coin | Coin of Heroes |
Combo points needed for coin | 1-70 | 71-120 | 121-160 | 161-180 | 181-280 | 280-499 | 500+ |
To make things easier, here's a table showing the estimated number of combo points (CP) you will earn if you use five of the same same monster for each round, and which corresponding coin type you will most likely get.
