Bloodseals
Bloodseals give your armor or weapon an extra stat boost that it would not normally have. They can be applied to the 'white named' equipment below level 73.
The ability to use a bloodseal has to be unlocked during battle - you must wear the equipment piece while fighting for at least few minutes. After a little bit of wear and tear, you may receive a pinkish-red colored message in the system chat window. It will look something like this one:
If you miss the bloodseal message in the system chat window, check the stat on all your equipment parts. The 'Bloodseal Ability' message means you have unlocked a bloodseal slot.
Adding bloodseals
Once a bloodseal slot is unlocked, drag a Bloodseal Gem from your inventory onto the equipment piece that displays the 'Bloodseal Ability' message. After releasing the gem, a confirmation pop-up is displayed. Click 'Confirm' to receive one of the possible bloodseal stat boosts for that equipment type.
Basically, you can use a Bloodseal Gem at any time, including during the fight. Bloodseals may not be applied while your are using a special skill, you must wait until the skill is finished. If you attempt to bloodseal something while using a skill, you will receive an error message in the system chat window.
If you continue to fight, the next seal to unlock will appear after a certain time. Bloodseal as soon as possible. If you chose to wait instead of doing it immediately, no further bloodseal slots will be unlocked.
Each piece of armor can receive up to 3 bloodseals and each weapon up to 5 bloodseals. The bloodseal you receive is randomly chosen from a "pool" of all possible bloodseal for that equipment type. For details check the list below.
If patience isn't your strongest virtue, you can use Crystal of Blood and Sweat to add a bloodseal immediately without opening the bloodseal slot. The maximal number of bloodseals does not change. These crystals can be purchased from Item Mall.
Keep in mind that Crystals of Blood and Sweat are currently bugged and you can only use them if the bloodseal slot is unlocked! |
RemovING BLOODSEALS
The Purification Gems may only be used after a piece of equipment has filled up at least 3 of its bloodseal slots. Drag the Purification Gem to the equipment piece that you want to remove the bloodseals of. A confirmation message will pop up. Click 'Confirm' to go through with the removal.
Keep in mind that the Purification Gem removes all the bloodseals, not just the ones you don't like. Now that the old seals are gone, you may reseal your equipment and try for some better ones.
