P2 Pets

PET MENU
You can access pet menu by pressing P or Alt+P. It gives you the following information:
The health (red bar), mana (blue bar) and experience (green bar) can be seen in a small window that appears on the screen when you equip the pet. In an extended view (click the triangle button in top right corner), you'll also find information about hunger and sincerity. |
Health, Hunger, Mana and Sincerity
Your pets health, mana, hunger, and sympathy may all be raised by feeding them items purchased from Pet Merchant Polly in Randol City, Juno. Different items raise the different stats by different amounts.
To feed a raw material to your pet:
Health
Just like our characters, pets have a stat box with a HP bar that shows their max HP. The max may be increased by putting their stat points into Constitution. Your pet can get hurt and lose health when they are attacked by a monster. The amount of damage they receive is determined by the monster's attack and your pet's defense, so your pet may lose quite a bit of HP in just one shot - they might even be one-hit killed. To avoid such a disaster, it is a good idea to put your pet on a low-level character and level it up with them, or let your pet attack things far below your level but close to its level.
Health may be restored by feeding your pet a Bandage. Alternatively, you may let your pet simply regenerate its health. P2 pets regenerate health at a rate of roughly 2-13 HP per 20 seconds, depending on the pet.
To feed a raw material to your pet:
- make sure your pet is equipped
- double-click on the item's icon in your inventory

Bandage type | Health restored | Cost |
---|---|---|
Rough Bandage | 10% of max HP | 9 900 gold |
Thick Bandage | 30% of max HP | 19 900 gold |
Sterilized Bandages | 50% of max HP | 39 900 gold |
Mana
Pets use their mana to cast their skills. Their MP bar is directly below their HP bar on their stat box. The MP bar shows their max mana as well as the amount they currently have. Different skills cost different amounts of mana to cast, and the mana regenerates slowly over time. To instantly restore their mana you have to give your pet a drink of Water or Milk. Alternatively, you may let your pet simply regenerate its mana. P2 pets regenerate mana at a rate of roughly 1-10 MP per 20 seconds, depending on the pet.
Drink type | Mana restored | Cost |
---|---|---|
Cold Water | 10% of max MP | 6 600 gold |
Thick Milk | 30% of max HP | 12 900 gold |
Fresh Water | 50% of max HP | 95 000 gold |
Hunger
Like all pets, P2 pets become hungry. They may be fed with Cookies or Bread sold by Pet Merchant Polly. If hunger falls below 20, your pet's evasion and hit rate decreases. When hunger is equal to zero, pet stops moving and fighting. Hungry pet also loses Sincerity.
The exact rate at which the P2 pets become hungry is currently unknown. It depends on the level difference between the pet and the owner. Pets that are higher level than the owner will become hungry much faster.
Food type | Hunger restored | Cost |
---|---|---|
Cheese Cookie | 5 hunger points | 5 000 gold |
Freshly Baked Bread | 18 hunger points | 10 900 gold |
Choco Cookie | 50 hunger points | 55 000 gold |
Bread | 90 hunger points | 185 000 gold |
Sincerity
Sometimes your pet needs to be proven that it's more than just something to fight for you. If sincerity falls below 20, your pet's attack and defense decreases. When sincerity is equal to zero, pet stops moving and fighting. Sincerity may be raised by giving your pet a Compliment Stamp or a Letter.
As of yet, it is unsure how exactly sincerity affects your pet. It is likely that it determines the effectiveness of their attack skills, or the percent chance of success of their stuns and debuffs.
Paper type | Sincerity restored | Cost |
---|---|---|
Compliment Stamp | 5 sincerity points | 4 000 gold |
Hand Written Letter | 18 sincerity points | 8 900 gold |
Sincere Letter | 70 sincerity points | 49 000 gold |
PET LEVELS AND EXP GAIN
P2 pets gain experience from hunting and killing with you. Every monster that you kill while your pet is equipped will give the pet a predetermined amount of EXP. The amounts depend on the monster's level - it is simply one-fifth of monster's level rounded down. However, when killing boss monsters, you need to multiply it by 4.
The pet EXP values can be also found in the Monster Information section. If you are in a party with someone, your pet will receive experience from their kills as well. The pet EXP received will be evenly split among all the P2 pets in the party.
Your pet won't get EXP when:
Experience values needed to reach next level are given in the tables below. The maximum P2 pet level is 165.

The Pet EXP potions cannot be used together, but they will both stuck with Pet Experience Events - their bonus is multiplied by the event. So using the Platinum Pet Experience Potion during 300% Pet EXP event will give you the maximum of 900% EXP boost.
Pet EXP Booster will stack with both potions.

P2 STAT POINTS
P2 Pet will receive 9 Stat Points for each level it gains. These points can be assigned to 4 different categories just like the stat point for character classes. For most of the pets, the effects for each points per category are the same:

P2 stat distribution
The stat distribution depends on how you want to use your pet:
- fighting pet - strength, constitution and dexterity
- buffing pet - intelligence (to get at least 2-3k mana), rest in constitution

PET TRAINING
Unlike P1 pets, P2's don't have technical points. All you need to learn a skill is a proper pet level and a skill book. There are three kinds of books:
They can be purchased from Pet Merchant Polly.
You can train your pet at Animal Trainer Noom in Randol, Juno. He's next to the fountain (red dot on the map).

Choose 'Pet Training' option. A pet training window appears:
Skills that your pet can learn have yellowish color, while the grayed-out ones are not yet available. If you click on the skill, you want to learn, the lower half of the window will show description and requirements that must be met. After you successfully learn a skill, a confirmation window will show up: |
P2 Pet AI
The Pet AI is the so called Pet's very own Intelligence. By setting up the Pet AI and activating it, your pet will perfom numerous tasks for you on its own.
- This setting which looks like a small Light Bulb Icon, is the On/Off Switch for the Auto-Intelligence. By turning the Light ON, the P2 will only execute commands or actions that it has been Optioned to do. In other words, it will not take any action whatsoever, unless you have specified so in the options menu.
- This is the AI Options Menu - Here is where you specify what actions the P2 Pet should take when the AI is turned ON.
- This "check-box" is the ON/OFF switch for that "Rows" Function. Checking this box will tell the AI to "use this command".
- This is the "Target Type". This is where you place the AI Target (found in illustration below)(with further information)
- This is the "Function or Skill Box". This is where you place the Function or Skill to be executed.
- Completion. Click this button to "Complete" the Setup. You must click Completion every-time you make changes in the AI Options Menu.
AI Targets
AI Targets are available at the Pet Merchant Polly in Randol City, Juno. Some targets are Skill Targets while others are Function Targets. The correct combinations are necessary when setting up the AI Options in the P2 AI Menu.
[P2] Attack and [P2] Pick are "Functions" located in the "Player Actions Menu":
Target Co-op. 5M "Target enemy that the owner is attacking within 5M" |
Can be used with: - [P2] Attack function - pet attack/debuff skills |
This AIT means that the P2 pet will Attack the same monster within a 5 meter radius that you are attacking. | |
Target Co-op. 30M "Target enemy that the owner is attacking within 30M" |
Can be used with: - [P2] Attack function - pet attack/debuff skills |
This is the same as previous target. The only difference is the distance specified. Usually players with Long-range Attack would use Target Coop. 30M while Close-range players would use Target Coop. 5M, however either is acceptable. | |
Target Item Search 10M "Target dropped items within 10M" |
Can be used with: - [P2] Pick function |
This AIT means that the pet will pickup any drop within a 10 meter radius of the Player. | |
Target Item Search 20M "Target dropped items within 20M" |
Can be used with: - [P2] Pick function |
This is the same as Target Item Search 10M only with increased range. This basically turns your pet into a walking vacuum cleaner sucking up anything nearby. Very nifty for cleaning up Prokion Floor | |
Target Protection 20M "Target enemy within 20M that's attacking the owner" |
Can be used with: - [P2] Attack function - pet attack/debuff skills |
This means that the pet will attack any monster or player that attacks the player. This option can be used for PVP purposes. This is very useful for casting the "Silencing" skills of the polar bear or jaguar. | |
Target Counter Strike 20M "Target enemy that's attacking the pet within 20M" |
Can be used with: - [P2] Attack function - pet attack/debuff skills |
This means that the pet will attack any monster or player that attacks the pet (itself). This is useful for auto-grinding via Aggro/PetAggro/FamilyAggro monsters. This AIT uses the [P2]Attack Function or one of the pets own Skills. | |
Target Low HP "Target owner when owners HP is below 50%" |
Can be used with: - pet owner buff skills |
This means the pet will target and "cast skill" upon the Owner when the owners HP goes below 50%. The pet will continuously cast-skill (buff) the player until the player's HP goes above half. This AIT uses the Pets "Owner Buff" Skills, such as the Polar Bears' "Song of Sun" or the Jaguar's "Cheer" | |
Target Low MP "Target owner when owners MP is below 50%" (in game description is wrong) |
Can be used with: - pet owner buff skills |
This is the exact same as stated above, only it works for Mana (MP) instead of Health (HP) | |
Target Pet HP "Target pet when pet's HP is below 50%" |
Can be used with: - First Aid skill - Curing Hunger skill - any other pet self buff skill |
This AIT is used with the "Restore Health by In-Game Gold" Skill "First Aid" of the pet. This means when the pets HP goes below half, it will cast its "First Aid" skill on itself and restore it's HP, deducting the amount from the gold supply on the player. The amount is approximately the same as buying Bandages from the Pet Merchant. | |
Target Pet MP "Target pet when pet's MP is below 50%" |
Can be used with: - First Aid skill - Curing Hunger skill - any other pet self buff skill |
This AIT just targets the Pet when its mana goes below 50%. It can be used with either "First Aid" or "Curing Hunger" skill........this AIT is pretty much useless as it does not nor has any related functions to restore pets Mana Pool via In-Game gold. There is no function for this command. | |
Target Pet Hunger "Target pet when pet's Hunger is below 50%" |
Can be used with: - First Aid skill - Curing Hunger skill - any other pet self buff skill |
This AIT just targets the Pet when its hunger goes below 50%. Has no relative function associated other than to use "First Aid" or "Curing Hunger" skills. | |
Target Pet Loyalty This AIT just targets the Pet when its sincerity goes below 50%. No Relative function associated other than "First Aid" or "Curing Hunger" |
Can be used with: - First Aid skill - Curing Hunger skill - any other pet self buff skill |
Examples
Example 1
In this example we are setting up the Pet's AI Functions to automatically pickup any and all gold within a 20 M Radius. This is also known as the "Beastly Vacuum"

Some Popular Settings
Pet leveling / affinity farming setting
1. Target Counter Strike + [P2] Attack function 2. Target Protection + [P2] Attack function 3. Target Pet Hunger + Curing Hunger Skill (optional) NOTE: Curing Hunger skill is currently glitched and will often cause your pet to get "stuck". It is advised to leave this option unchecked. Be aware that afk p2 farming is bannable offence, however you may use this setting so long you are present at the computer. |
Owner Buff setting
1. Target Low HP (or MP) + owner buff skill (example: Cheer, Jaguar Cub) |
Pet Attack / Debuff setting
1. Target Coop. + pet attack/debuff skill or 2. Target Protection + pet attack/debuff skill NOTE: Using Target Counter Strike wont work in most cases as the monster is agro on the attacking owner and not the pet. (example: Light of Mana, Nanook) |
There are many useful ways to use the AI Target Functions, from Silencing your enemies, to even Auto-Grinding your own character.......Try your own combinations for some Super P2 Pet Fun!
Reviving
When your pet dies, it becomes sealed. To be able to equip and use it again you must first unseal it. Unlike P1 Pets, pets cannot have the seal on them broken through fighting. Instead, you must revive them. The Animal Trainer will revive your pet for you.
The Animal Trainer charges a fee for reviving your pet, but once revived the pet will have 30% of their max HP. After they have been revived you will have to finish healing them by using either Rough Bandages or Thick Bandages.
