Bant in Dratan
Start: Automatic pop-up I should've told you to come sooner, but I couldn't. This is the end of an era, it's the end of the relationship between you and I. There is nothing else I can teach you. I hope I led you in the direction your master wished. You are already wise, intelligent and brave. You're a true protector of Randol. As I am write this, I am reminded of my final present to you. I don't know if you'd like it, but I've given it to the Armor Trader in Dratan, Bant. Please visit him on your journey. If you decide to stay in Dratan, Gebra will help you. I know he looks a little rough, but he's really a very nice guy. Bring him this Mission Scroll. End: Armor Trader Bant (Dratan) Welcome, I'm Bant. Hmmm? What is this letter? Present? From Lorein? We don't have anything for you. Who the hell do you think you are, barging in here like that, demanding I give you presents? Get out of here, before I lose what little temper I have left! Hah! Gotcha! You should see the look on your face! Aaahahahah! Here's your present, from Lorein with love. Come on, don't scowl! It was a joke, it was funny! I hear you're quite the accomplished adventurer... I may call upon your services in the future. Seriously, of course. |

Many Paths, Same Destination
Start: Archbishop Raustus (Juno) At long last, someone with the look of a real adventurer! Tell me, have you ever traveled through Dratan? There are many ongoing historical studies and investigations about the Dratan Humans. Particularly the ones who followed Akemon in the Race Wars. If you plan on passing through Dratan again, could you deliver a letter for me? This letter is for Archbishop Mazar. Speak with Teleporter Eteal, beside the castle of Randol. He'll teleport you to Dratan. End: Archbishop Raustus (Dratan) Hmm... the Archbishop in Randol sent you to all the way here? Just to introduce yourself to me? Oh... Heh... You're pretty gullible, aren't you? You didn't read the letter, did you? Gobbledygook! This is an old document I requested from the Archbishop detailing obscure Titan pilgrimage routes from west Algol to Midran. There's no reason to have this delivered by teleporter... I'm sorry, but you came here for nothing but an introduction. Maybe we can make this work to your advantage. I know there are others in town in need of someone with your skills. |

The Archaeologist's Request
Start: Archaeologist Jajan (Dratan) Algol, the home of the titans, used to be as fertile as Dratan. The land was also rich in mineral deposits and energy wells. But the Gods blasted the land and poisoned what was left. I'm curious about the actual power that made Algol so infertile. I believe the Skeletons in Juno's Belfist Temple may hold the answer. End: Archaeologist Jajan (Dratan) Heavens above! Cursed Bones! These were mentioned in ancient scrolls, but this is the first time I've ever seen them. If they're involved, things are worse than I thought. I'm not even sure what I can learn from these. |

Words of the Ancestors
Start: Automatic pop-up There are temples all over Iris continent. The really interesting thing is that these temples weren't just places of worship. Mortals used the temples as beachheads in the war against the gods. Since the gods are tied to their places of worship, our ancestors used this to their advantage in the war. Mortals carved glyphs of weakening, suffering, pain, anything they could think of into the walls of these temples. It was the first glimmer of victory most people knew. Anyhow, many people are interested those old temples, particularly Belfist. Could you go there and check for ancestral records? Beware of the Skeletons. End: Drill Master Veron (Juno) That was... Unexpected. |

Historically Verified?
Start: Archaeologist Jajan (Dratan) Noo! I broke my last Resonance Stone... I need a Resonance Stone to even try pulling memories out of these bones. If I can pull memories and emanations from the Cursed Bones, I should be able to decipher what curses were used. If you bring me the materials for another Resonance Stone, I'll give you a rare armor. Armor used by the Akemon's followers during the race wars. Resonance Stones are made by distilling the tears and feathers of harpies. End: Archaeologist Jajan (Dratan) Take this item. The use you'll get out of this will far outweigh any words of thanks I could offer. I will look for you if I ever have problems that need solving. |

The Billionaire's Hobby
Start: Archbishop Raustus (Dratan) Do you know about the race wars of old? Do you know why the Titans and Humans nearly destroyed each other? The God Ares, seeking war, created the Titans. He gave them strength and fury. Apollon, seeking peace, gifted the Titans with self awareness and compassion. Eyes opened, the Titans decided they wished for nothing of the affairs of Gods. They settled in Algol, desiring seeking peace and isolation. Ares was furious. He cursed Algol, poisoning the water and salting the fields. The Titans were forced to choose: leave the only home they knew or perish. They chose migration. In the beginning things were peaceful, until a human named Akemon came to power. Akemon, poisoned by the will of Ares, spread lies and half-truths about the supposedly bestial Titans. Slowly but surely, humanity prepared for war. Akemon led the first attacks himself, razing villages and slaughtering all. From the frailty of man, Ares got the war he wanted. Bred for battle, the Titans quickly took to the offensive. Since few can survive the onslaught of a blood-crazed Titan, their counterattack took the humans unaware. The following war was one of the bloodiest, most horrific events in history. This letter came from a young cadet named Jiore at the start of the Great War. Jiore survived, and did quite well for himself in the years following. Bring him this letter. He collects wartime histories and artifacts, he'll be pleased to see that it survived. End: Billionaire Jiore (Dratan) Wow, this is my letter! I remember sending this to the Archbishop years and years ago. How came you by this, stranger? I thought the Archbishop kept better track of his documents... Hmmm, you are more of an enigma than I thought. |

Translator and Document
Start: Billionaire Jiore (Dratan) Good day, adventurer! Could you do me a favor? I love collecting old manuscripts and texts, but I'm having translation troubles. I only know a few of the ancient languages, many of the old characters and pictograms are utter gibberish to me. I hired a translator to transcribe my collection into the common tongue, but... Well, the translator, Edgar, is a picky person. He requires not only payment in money but also Soft Sand. Edgar won't use any other kinds in his work. The money isn't an issue, but the Soft Sand is much more difficult. The best, softest sand comes from Sand Golems. If you bring me enough, I could get the rest of my texts translated. Will you help? End: Translator Edgar (Dratan) Let me see this... Yes, this is good, Soft Sand. Many thanks. |

The Genuine Article
Start: Armor Trader Rowel (Juno) You know, there just aren't that many reliable people around these days. Besides you, of course. I have a bunch of requests for a Blood Wolf's black fur and leather right now, and I need someone to get it for me. The furs and Black Leather come from Blood Wolves. Seriously, don't try to pawn some imitation dyed stuff, I know the difference. I trust you, don't abuse this trust. Bring me the real deal and I'll pay you a fair price. End: Armor Trader Rowel (Juno) Yep, this is the good stuff. You did a good job. Take your payment, and a little bonus for not jerking me around. |

For the Money
Start: Armor Trader Rowel (Juno) Remember that one lady? The one with all the money? She wants another matching set, this time in black! I need more Black Fur and more Black Leather from those Blood Wolves, right away! End: Armor Trader Rowel (Juno) Thanks for doing this so fast. I'll throw in a bonus because of all your hard work. If this lady keeps up, we'll both be filthy rich! |

Len the Administrator
Start: Town Administrator Len (Dratan) What!? Oh, sorry. We've been plagued by a con artist working the areas around Dratan. At least, I hope he's only a con artist. Do you know who I'm talking about? That con-artist, Jajan. He's been calling himself an archaeologist or something, then he gets travelers to bring him whatever materials he needs for his dastardly deeds. Please don't tell me you fell for it. Jeez. You'd think adventurers would be less gullible... Well now you're working for me, and hopefully you'll fix some of the damage you caused. People've been finding ancient scrolls and texts in Juno's Belfist temple and Dratan's Prokion temple. If we decipher those, we could harness the power of the gods. As long as we keep this information out of the hands of people like Jajan. Go speak with Mazar, the leader of Dratan's Royal Guard. End: Royal Guard Captain Athi (Dratan) Hmm... Len sent you, huh? If you want to know about temple relics, you should see the Royal Guard Leader or Archaeologist Shuraine. |

Speaking with the Royal Guard
Start: Royal Guard Captain Athi (Dratan) Archaeologist Shuraine's a real archaeologist, unlike Jajan. He's been in the employ of Dratan for many years now. He's currently studying ancient relics from temples in an attempt to learn about the weapons and magics used by the gods. I am against this whole undertaking. Even though the Gods were absent for many years, we're not meant to know their secrets. There is a part of me, a darker part that dreams of wielding such power. I know enough to know that chasing dreams like this can only end in tears... I don't know how you know Len, but I'll introduce you to Shuraine. Remember my words. End: Archaeologist Shuraine (Dratan) It must have been difficult to reach me, the surrounding lands are filled with dangers. After a journey like that, the least I can do is tell you what I learned. My studies of the Belfist temple in Juno are sobering. Our ancestors were slaves, ruled over by warring, jealous Gods. Gods I shall never worship. They were, are and always will be our enemies. Ironic, isn't it? Sometime in the future we will once again fight the gods. We are mortal, we forget. The gods are immortal, they won't rest until we're enslaved again. |

Nobly Heroic
Start: Drill Master Veron (Juno) After looking through the records you brought, I found the source of the monsters. As people rose against the gods, they sought the strongest, most dangerous relics. How else could they stand against gods? Such power comes with a hefty cost. The longer people used the darkest artifacts, the more they were corrupted. They embraced the corruption for the power that came with it. The war came and went, but the champions, they were lost to the madness. To this day, we call those relics Noble Heroes, in honor of the sacrifices of the first heroes. The Noble Heroes were in Belfist temple for safekeeping, but someone's been using them. Since people refuse to learn the lessons of the past, I need you to bring me the Noble Hero. Let's put an end to this. End: Drill Master Veron (Juno) Sigh... Thank you for taking this from whoever was using it. I trust the unfortunate individual suffers no longer? |

Fox Problems
Start: Town Administrator Len (Dratan) Oh great... Desert Foxes are immigrating to Dratan. Probably following food or some nonsense. Desert Foxes are smart, vicious and prone to attacking in packs. They're getting closer and closer to town, we can't have people getting attacked. We need you to thin their numbers. Less foxes mean more food for the ones remaining. Then they'll have no reason to bother us. Desert foxes are canny, they have incredible senses of smell and hearing. Luckily their vision isn't all that great. If you kill 17 Clever Desert Foxes, it should be enough. End: Town Administrator Len (Dratan) I figured you'd do okay, thank you. |

Skinning Horn Beasts
Start: Wild Collector Karl (Juno) Are you going to be here for a while? Um... Can you help me? You wouldn't believe how many orders I have for Horn Beast Skins. Too many damn greenhorns keep getting killed by those damn things. They get killed, I have to fill their orders... Do you mind lending a hand? I need 10 Horn Beast Skins, if you're up for a challenge. I pay well, if I say so myself. End: Wild Collector Karl (Juno) Hey! You made it back? Still alive, I see. I'll take those skins, you can take your payment. I am not as cheap as some would have you believe. Many thanks. Note: To finish this quest kill Great Horn Beasts. |

Story of Crom
Start: Weapon Trader Crom (Dratan) You there! Yes, you... You look like you need some money. Want some work? There's a lot of profit in refurbishing broken weapons. I know Orc packs in the Prokion temple carry weapons scavenged from ancient fields of battle. The ones that lasted were the ones forged in the Dark Furnaces of long ago. They might be a bit battered, but the steel is strong. All we need are 5 Cracked Axes from the Orc packs. Fix `em up, we could make a nice pile of coins! End: Weapon Trader Crom (Dratan) You got them? Excellent! Here's your share. Before you get all mad, I know this doesn't seem like much but business was slower than I expected. The rest of your payment's in information. Information nobody else knows. |

Croommmm!
Start: Weapon Trader Crom (Dratan) Listen well, hero. It was Shuin, Akemons General and right-hand man, who brought the end to Akemons reign. Have you read the doctrines of Akemon? They're riddled with ignorance, half-truths and inconsistencies. Akemon taught his followers that Humans were the only true race. All lesser races were to be enslaved or destroyed. Only one drowning in the lies of Ares would embrace such nonsense, let alone make it law. As the casualties rose and Akemon's derangement worsened, Shuin decided enough was enough. He gathered together like-minded people, including Anoel Dratum, and sought to wrest power from Akemon. Akemon was furious. Shuin was branded a traitor to his race; he died a traitor's death. His death sparked the revolt that lead to Akemon's public dismemberment and the end of the war. Does Shuin's final stand make up for his original acts of genocide? One must wonder, eh Hero? End: Archaeologist Shuraine (Dratan) Hmph! Crom's still spreading that drivel? I am an archaeologist and blood nephew to Shuin. I met him once, years after the Race Wars. Shuin led the rebellion against Akemon, he never fought alongside that tyrant! And he sure as hell wasn't executed by him! You came from the wrong place if you were looking for historical truths. Remember, Crom likes the legends, not the facts. He's always willing to flub details if it'll sound better. It's a hard lesson to learn, but not everything you hear is worth listening to. |

Jajan's Next Request
Start: Archaeologist Jajan (Dratan) Why is it that everyone sees my studies as follies or confidence schemes? Why do people trust Shuraine? Talk about a complete fool! I beg of you, will you do me one last favor? I've always paid well for my requests, nobody denies that. If you really want to know, I'm trying to remake the accoutrements of the Gods, in accordance with the ancient texts. It seems that the raw materials of an Orc Dark Orb are almost identical to the raw materials found in the Gods' Ornaments. I am not a fighter, hero, and I have no way to collect Orc Dark Orbs. Please get these for me. Help me understand our gods better. End: Archaeologist Jajan (Dratan) Excellent! I had my doubts about you, but no longer! Now leave me in peace, I need to study this immediately... |

Ajaka Canyon
Start: Dungeon Keeper Anja (Juno) What do you know of the Ajaka canyon? For some reason, demons and monsters showed up and took it over. Their attacks got so bad, we've had to cordon off the entire area. What few survivors escaped keep muttering about Underground Caves and Round Towers. Enough matching reports mean something is there; if that something is spawning demons, we need to investigate. That, warrior, is where you come in. End: Dungeon Keeper Anja (Juno) Blood Mistress Kamira, you killed her? Something that powerful bodes ill, indeed. I must call my officers together. Thank you. Note: This is a Personal Dungeon quest. |

Fists of Sand
Start: Occultist Pianon (Dratan) Golems don't usually attack people, not at random, anyway. In fact, they're only ever violent under direct orders or when protecting their creators. The Sand Golems in Dratan are remnants of the race war. Their creators were killed in the conflict, now they wander deserts aimlessly. Without anyone controlling them, the Golems attack anything they come across. Unless we take steps to stop this, I don't see an end in sight. My job is dealing with these Sand Golems, under direct orders from the Feudal Lord. He offers bounties for people who bring in Soft Sand. I can always use an extra hand, if you're interested. End: Occultist Pianon (Dratan) Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. |

Diary of a Rainhart
Start: Lorein (Juno) Are you traveling to the Merac region, by chance? Could you do me a favor? The Magician Dien, in the town of Carron, has been looking for a copy of the Diary of Rainhart. It took me a while, but I finally found one. Would you deliver it for me? End: Magician Dien (Merac) You came from very far to bring me this, Hero. Thank you. I believe Rainhart was one of the actual instigators of the race war. What parts of his diary I collected read like a history of atrocities committed in the name of blind vengeance. Rainhart was the child of a Sir Banmidion, one of the four Human heroes and protector of the Algol and Midran borderlines. He was killed, possibly through a misunderstanding, by a pack of Titans. We don't know the details of Banmidion's death, just the results. His father's death drove Rainhart mad with rage. A thirst for vengeance drove him to murder Titans one by one, and his mind proved fertile ground for Akemon's seeds of genocide. The rest, sadly, is history. It is my hope that studying this diary will prevent future atrocities... |

A Study in Scales
Start: Pharmacist Lers (Juno) Did you know Drakes have the highest reproductive rates out of any other animal? It's official, and I proved it. I've been writing a research report on Drakes, but since I have no background in battle or hunting, it's impossible for me to get as near as I'd like. If you aren't afraid of Drakes, why don't you go to their nest and hunt some of the Elder Drakes? I need to compare Elder Drakes scales with younger ones. That would be a great help to my research. End: Pharmacist Lers (Juno) Ah! These are perfect! Wonderful! Thank you so much! |

Piecemeal Research
Start: Pharmacist Lers (Juno) I studied the Drake Scales you brought, but now I want to learn how Drakes communicate. From the accounts I heard, Drakes seem to use their tails for this. Obviously I want to dissect an Elder Drake's tail. You did a great job with the scales, if you bring me a tail, I'll pay you for your time. Do you think you could slay another Elder Drake and bring me the Drake's Tail? End: Pharmacist Lers (Juno) Wow, look at all these tiny little muscles! I bet these tails move in all sorts of ways. |

Start: Pharmacist Lers (Juno) Can you believe it? The tail wasn't right either! These bones, the structure of the muscle... Drakes can't possibly communicate with these. Maybe we can try the claws? I dunno, could you try bringing me some Drake's Claws? End: Pharmacist Lers (Juno) Yes! The claws were right! My guess-er, my years of study were right! I'm starting to get the picture, but I don't have enough claws. Please, I need more! |

Titanic Prejudice
Start: Automatic pop-up I need your help resolving a dispute. Bear with me, there's a bit of a story on this one. In the last great war, Magical Shopkeeper Coen's family was killed by Titans. He never forgave the soldiers for what they did. Coen doesn't know the whole story, and therein lies the tragedy. Coen would be dead if not for the actions of a single Titan, dragging him away from the tragedy of Bandimion. We've waited long enough for Coen to get over his prejudice. Enough is enough. Coen needs to know the truth. Tell Coen what happened. If you can't change his mind, at least open his eyes. End: Magical Shopkeeper Coen (Juno) So they sent you to talk to me, huh? Yeah, I know the story. They told me yesterday. If it's true, I've been acting like this for no reason. But seriously, you think a man can totally change everything about himself in a single day? Yes, I was wrong! I understand that. Yes, I'll serve Titans in my shop! Are you happy now? Are you amused? You dragged up my childhood traumas for what? A little money? What the hell kind of person does that to strangers? What kind of monster are you? Get out of my shop! |

Bones of a Tyrant
Start: Magician Dien (Merac) Recently, there've been rumors that someone found the remains of Akemon somewhere in Merac. As soon as word got out, a group called the Butchers showed up. They've been terrorizing the region since. Thievery, grave robbing, kidnapping, they do it all. We think the Butchers are following orders from their leader, Beradben. It's time to put a stop to this. Hunt down those the Butchers and bring back any written orders you find. 10 should be enough to figure out their plans. Show them the meaning of butchery. End: Great Magician Minearm (Merac) I can't believe they found Akemon's remains... I'll never forgive him, or his armies. We lost generations in that war. Families, cities, all were put to the torch. To think, all that wasn't enough for some. I fear these Butchers may be the tip of the iceberg... Dark times are upon us. |

Minearm's Letter
Start: Great Magician Minearm (Merac) This is out of my league. I need to speak with the Archbishop of Merac about what we should do with Akemon's remains. Take this letter to Shuraine in Dratan. He will know better than I do. End: Archaeologist Shuraine (Dratan) Hmm. I thought Uncle Shuin exterminated all who followed Akemon. I am deeply concerned that some still would follow Akemons ignorant, hateful ways. Somebody must be behind this... |

Start: Drill Master Veron (Juno) I want you to help the travelling Elf Magicians. Elf Mer, of the Magicians, has a plan to stop tragedies like Bandimion from happening again. Elf Mer seeks to test some Magic Ball of Harmony. The Ball should expunge feelings of mistrust and antagonism. That's the hope, anyway. I'll need you to deliver the ball to the Magician. End: Magician Ahony (Juno) Is this the Magic Ball of Harmony? I helped to make this, you know. Thank you so much for coming all the way here to deliver this. Now for the fun part, let's see how it works! |

I'm looking trying to buy Spider Poison, to make a better Antidote. Do you by any chance have any on you? I really need venom from a Red Spider or a Desert Spider. For an antidote, of course. End: Healer Enorin (Juno) I'm sorry, I can't pay you in cash... I can pay you in potions, if you're interested. |

The Strongest Creepiest Fabric
Start: Herbologist Trainer Arise (Dratan) Hmmm... I don't know what your clothes are made of, but they don't look very sturdy. Ever seen clothes made of Spider Thread? That splendid, luminescent, silken, undulating fabric that only comes from Spider Thread. It's simply... divine. Regular spider silk doesn't make for good fabric, but Desert and Red Spiders make firm, sturdy stuff. They also make large enough quantities that we can actually weave things from them. Hey, if you bring me Spider Thread, I'll pay you the going rate. Trust me, it's worth it! End: Herbologist Trainer Arise (Dratan) You got it? Great! Here's your money, it's a bit more than the going rate, actually. Don't tell the other Herbologists, but I think you deserved a little extra. Spiders are scary! |

Salamander's Heat
Start: Armor Trader Rowel (Juno) A lot of people in northern regions swear by Salamander skin clothes and armor. Preferably skins from Salamanders in the Flare Regions, soaked in magic. I don't know why, Salamander Skin gear really holds in heat, and it's not nearly as slimy as you'd expect. Not to mention it's tougher than Drake skin. So do you want to make some money? Bring me Salamander Skins. End: Armor Trader Rowel (Juno) This will be enough for three full sets of armor, not bad. I need to learn to craft armor, I could make soo much more money. Oh well... |

Start: Drill Master Veron (Juno) Captain Leon of the Randol Knights makes many pilgrimages to the sites of ancient battles. He looks for personal effects, things he can return to families of their lost loved ones. While he's gone, could you lend a hand? All you have to do is take this legacy to the Domain Merchant in Randol Village. End: Domain Merchant Landy (Juno) This is, is this what my uncle left for me? I'm so proud of my uncle, he gave everything he had in that battle. I never expected to receive anything from him. I-I don't know what to say... He had no other family. Thank you very much. |

The Infernal Divine
Start: Royal Guard Captain Athi (Dratan) Long time no see, traveler. So they found Akemons remains? Don't look so surprised, news travels fast around here. As I heard from Shuraine, Akemons teachings were not just a simple religion. His priests sought to combine gods and demons into something they could control. Frightening? Yes, but even more frightening is their old texts say they succeeded. We need to know two things: if they were actually successful and if so, what they created. Using Orc Ornaments, we can attempt to find out. Whatever dark, unnatural experiments they preformed were done in the lower levels of the Prokion temple. The Orc Sergeants dwelling there should have evidence or information we need. End: Royal Guard Captain Athi (Dratan) You returned? I'm worried about what we'll learn. Ah well, many thanks. |

Goddesses of Death
Start: Royal Guard Captain Athi (Dratan) Death Goddesses are some of the creatures created in Akemon's foul experiments. They hypnotize victims, taking them away to their dens. Nobody knows what happens next as nobody's come back from a rescue attempt. People are vanishing to the south, we believe it is the work of roving packs of Death Goddesses. They aren't easy to kill, but if we can thin their ranks we will save lives. Head through the south gate and follow the road. If you're unlucky enough, they'll find you. End: Royal Guard Captain Athi (Dratan) The land is safer, thanks to your efforts. Maybe now our military has more of a fighting chance. Reinforcements have been dispatched to deal with the remaining Death Goddesses. It's us or them, they must die if we are to survive. Your efforts helped us fight another day, hero. Thank you. |

Start: Lorein (Juno) Why does Minearm keep bothering me? What on earth is she studying, anyway? This time she asked me to get her Salamander Tails. She was saying something about Flare Magic... Why's she asking ME to cut off Salamander tails? They're pretty attached to those tails, not to mention what vicious little bastards they are! Wait, could you get the Salamander Tails for me? I'm sure you can handle `em, just be sure to bring the tails to Magician Minearm when you're done. I'll pray for the gods blessings upon you, especially if you're being chased by Salamanders... End: Great Magician Minearm (Merac) You did all this because Lorein asked you? You must owe her a lot of money... Not only are Salamanders very dangerous, those pelts're really heavy. This better repay any debt you owe Lorein. |
