Anger of fire elemental
Start: Magician Dien (Merac) There once lived a salamander named Ulkan who is the fire elemental. One day Ulkan got caught by some human magician who was very surprised and excited to see the fire elemental for real, made fun of Ulkan using magic. Ulkan also was interested in the play at first, but then the play got very excessive. Ulkan was too infuriated and eliminated the magician with overwhelming power. However, for this, Ulkan lost the qualification to be the fire elemental. All Ulkan had left inside was the anger against human and from then Ulkan hid out from the world. Anyway, I heard a rumor that Ulkan is recently hunting down people again with anger. Have you heard of it? People now call it the angry salamander. I would really want to check if Ulkan really exists or not. Can you get me the Last Flame? People say that you can find the angry salamander at Merac. In Merac, you'll find a place where you can feel strong fire energy and there you can find some Fire Blazing Ores. Destroying those ores might call the angry salamander, but be careful. Ulkan must be extremely angry. End: Magician Dien (Merac) Is this Ulkan's Last Flame? It indeed turned to and angry salamander and existed. Thank you. |

Sea horse's story
Start: Magical Shopkeeper Angel (Streiana) A traveler had recently been attacked by sea horses from Streiana. It seems like Bache is there. Bache used to be a good kid, who saved the sea horse and had been salvaged long time ago. After the War of Gods had been settled, sea horses were very popular for curing the infectious disease. But they were too rare that it wasn't easy to get them with a reasonable price. That was when Bache saved a sea horse enmeshed in the web. There were people who knew about this and tried to steal the see horse from Bache. Bache tried his best to save the sea horse from those greedy people but unfortunately he died from unexpected accident. Sea horse, who was very sad to see Bache dying like that, delivered the story to the god of sea. The god of sea was touched by the story and gave Bache his second chance to live as a sea horse. But, people's selfishness against the sea horses had incurred Bache's hatred deeply. Some say that the heart of sea horse is frozen cold and so it's immortal. Please get me the Frozen Heart. You have a great chance to find Bache if you destroy the Enchanted Water Energy Plants at Streiana. End: Magical Shopkeeper Angel (Streiana) So, this is the salvaged sea horse's Frozen Heart. It's freezing cold! Thanks a lot. |

I know it's not easy but can you handle him one more time? You can summon the Salvaged Sea Horse Bache by destroying the Enchanted Water Energy Plants. I want to see how great his alchemy was. I think I can take some hints by researching the angry golem, don't you think so? Please bring me the Cursed Stone that's stuck in the center of the angry golem. I heard that the angry golem Muta is still researching the earth and soil somewhere in Dratan. Start: Antiquities Dealer Remton (Egeha) Have you seen elves before? Beautiful Kina lived at Egeha where once was the ferocious battlefield. She now is going around, killing people, but she has a pretty sad story. I first want to check if there is any way to stop her from killing people. You can find the Windy Tree at the highest area of Egeha. If you cut those trees, the Revengeful Elf Kina will appear to kill you also. Please defeat her and bring me the Feathers of Wind. The sad story about her? I'll tell you once you get me the Feathers of Wind. End: Antiquities Dealer Remton (Egeha) Thank you. It was a great help! Oh, the sad story.. right. Kina was very famous for her beauty. One bad, greedy rich guy tried to take advantage of Kina. The poor young Kina, tied up in the small room behind the bars, wished she could be like the pleasant winds and earn freedom. As her wish got stronger and stronger, the god of wind couldn't just pass by and so freed her from the rich and gave her the power of wind. With the power, Kina took revenge on the rich guy for taking advantage of her. Oh, she couldn't control her anger and continued killing human after then. If it weren't for the greedy rich guy, Kina would have lived the rest of her life better and peaceful. |

Wind of revenge
Start: Antiquities Dealer Remton (Egeha) Why yes, you brought me the Feathers of Wind last time, right? What was it like seeing the elf by yourself? Was she that pretty? People hear things about Kina's beauty and try to find her. But, they didn't really know how abhorrence she was for human. Most of them got killed or damaged by Kina. Can you go once again and settle down Kina's thirst for revenge? You know how and where to find her. Destroy the Windy Trees at Egeha and knock some head together. End: Antiquities Dealer Remton (Egeha) Oh, has the revengeful elf Kina calmed down now? Nevertheless, people will keep on visiting there and make Kina mad again anyway. |

Mad Martin
Start: Commander Riue (Mondshine) I'm tired of hearing stories about the endless zealots. It's about time to cut the head so there won't be any more zealots created. He was once a revered spiritual archbishop. He's a good example how people become when they feel the sense of betrayal. I really want to see if he can come back to the good side. You'll find the Shining Statues of Light in the burial chamber. Destroy them and summon the Mad Archbishop Martin. Please defeat him and bring back the Shining Soul Stone. End: Commander Riue (Mondshine) This was causing the madness... Shining Soul Stone. Thank you. |

Start: Commander Lente (Tarian) I heard someone saying that she saw the Greedy Swordsman Kyle from Tarian. Some others say that they saw strange Darkened Magic Stones near the Tarian watchtower and Ramslo's Underground Laboratory. Don't you think this may be the best chance to get rid of him? You'll find Kyle if you destroy the Darkened Magic Stones. Go get the Shadow of Darkness for me. Here's what. If you bring me the Shadow of Darkness, I'll tell you Kyle's story for you. I swear you'll love the story! Be careful. End: Commander Lente (Tarian) Thank you. So then, here's the story about Kyle. Once upon a time, there lived a well skilled but greedy swordsman. The greed underlying inside his mind was very deep and dark. So dark that it had swallowed Kyle. Kyle became a madman. When he heard that somebody is stronger than him, he would go and kill him/her. Some of Kyle fellows heard this story and tried to save him, but it was too late. He was... Dark itself. What a pity. |

Let's see what secrets it holds. |

The First Skeleton War
Start: Commander Riue (Mondshine) Listen carefully now. Up on Skeleton Hill, the natives are getting restless. We think the skeletons are marshaling under a new leader. We sent scouts to investigate, but they never returned. We need to stop the skeletons, whatever their plans. Go to Skeleton Hill and smash some bones. End: Commander Riue (Mondshine) No matter how many we kill, the skeletons keep rising. We need to stop this at the source. |
Reward:
|
The Second Skeleton War
Start: Commander Riue (Mondshine) The Skeleton leader is the animator, he's the one raising the armies. If we don't stop their leader, we'll be overrun. Kill their leader, stop his foul sorceries. Bring me his weapon when you've done the deed. End: Commander Riue (Mondshine) Finally, I can relax. Note: Skeleton General is a Boss Raid that spawns randomly in Mondshine when killing monsters. |

Water for Skeletons
Start: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) The dead are at it again. We were patrolling Death Hill when we saw the Skeletons getting restless. There's a Skeleton Leader raising all sorts of ruckus, possibly trying to raise an undead army. It's time to re-sanctify Death Hill. Take this Sacred Water and splash it on the Skeleton Piles. Sanctification should stop the spread of the restless dead, or at least slow it. Why can't the damn things stay dead? End: Potion Crafter Eve (Mondshine) How did it work? Note: Quest description is wrong. Don't pay attention to the quest objectives and go straight to Potion Crafter Eve. She will give you the potion you are supposed to splash on Skeletons. |
Reward:
|
A Temporary Fix, Part 2
Start: Potion Crafter Eve (Mondshine) No time for argument, we need your help. The Chief Skeleton forms his armies out of bones he pulls from skeleton piles. It's time to put a stop to this, we can't keep up with these numbers. Pour this potion on those skeleton piles. If this doesn't stop their skeleton creation entirely, it will slow it down significantly. Let Border Guard Wigo know when you've finished. End: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) Those were the last of our potions... I hope it was worth it. Note: To finish this quest use Mysterious Potion and coordinates (1869, 942). Report to Boundary Guard Didie, not Wigo. |
Reward:
|
Smashing Bones
Start: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) The problem with dead is they don't starve, they don't have emotions to play on and they always attack the living. The only way to get rid of these things is to smash them, one by one. Start with the Skeleton Hunters and Warriors. End: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) Those dry bones smash pretty easily. I'd rather fight the dead than the living, myself. |
Reward:
Faithful Lebru Bow, Harmonic Lumirhum Scythe or Power Rombe Sword |
The Source of the Dead
Start: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) It is time to destroy the source of the undead: the Skeleton Leader. It resides in a mausoleum on Death Hill. I must be honest, you're our fifth choice. Two were slain, one is catatonic and we have no idea where the last guard is... We have no idea what lies in the bowels of the mausoleum. The stench alone will be horrific, but I bet it's nothing compared to the creation of the Skeletons. I wouldn't go there on a full stomach. You're our last chance, please kill the Skeleton Leader. End: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) You're alive? Is it dead? Thank you, hero. I pray Death Hill stays peaceful. |
Reward:
Rombe Shield, Bright Crem Axe, Laughing Flahm Bow or Benevolent Valie Staff |
Destiny and Survival
Start: Dealer Bruna (Mondshine) They say the sea's a cruel mistress, but none's crueler than destiny. Destiny's the one that plots your life out, you're the one who must rise to it. You're being groomed to change the world. You are to find Tairen. Killing him is your destiny. Do you have the strength and the will courage and the fortitude to see your destiny to the end? End: Dealer Bruna (Mondshine) That is good to hear! Never lose that spark of courage. It will keep you warm even after all else fails. |
Reward:
|
Heretical Letters
Start: Dealer Bruna (Mondshine) The Heretics are sending messages, gathering their forces. The letters are coming from high command; we need to know who sends them. Our scouts discovered stone obelisks in the Sonecutter's fields. We believe the Heretics use them as a drop point for their Secret Letters. There're two Stonecutter's Fields in Mondshine, we need you to check both for letters. End: Dealer Bruna (Mondshine) Damn and blast! Someone must've cast a spell on this. None of us can read it unless we know the counter spell... I must study this further. Take this. It may be useful later on. Note: The Stonecutter's Fields are placed north (1800,200) and east (2400,1400). To complete this quest you must collect letters from Pillars at those locations. |
Reward:
|
Secret Letter, Secret Meeting
Start: Dealer Bruna (Mondshine) I finally decoded that letter. It mentions far-reaching plans, but nothing specific we can use. If these plans come to fruition, the Heretics will be that much closer to resurrecting Tairen. We need to know more. According to the letter, the next gathering is at the Chapel. I want you to observe, but it must be done in secret. Use this Trace Free Scroll when you're finished. It should clear all traces you inadvertently left. With any luck, they'll never know you were there. End: Dealer Bruna (Mondshine) The time for action is now! Note: Use the Mark Deletion Spell Book at (2282, 175) coordinates. |
Reward:
|
So It Begins...
Start: Dealer Bruna (Mondshine) We might be too late! The Chapel seems to be at the center of this. Find Guard Wigo near the Chapel and give him the decoded Secret Letter. Find out what's going on and lend aid where needed. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) There are much more Heretics around the Chapel than usual... And now Evil Spirits gather... Something big is happening, something very big. |
Reward:

Missionaries are Evil
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) There's no more time to waste. The Tairen Missionaries are beginning the ceremony to become Dark Missionaries. Dark Missionaries control minds, infecting all they come across. If we can't trust our own minds, we won't stand a chance! Head Missionary Colinca is performing the ritual, I need you to kill him and bring me his list of candidates. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) Without the master of ceremonies, the ritual is on hold. Now we must deal with the Candidates... Note: Missionary Boss Coloncha can be found at third floor of the Chapel in the long room with 12 doors (970,680). To spawn him you must open the doors (keys are dropped by Missionary Fortune-Tellers) and kill all Missionary White Ascetics. |
Reward:
Rhugun, Conquering Blanc, Honorious Nuan, Flourish Luming or Passionate Demor |
Evil Shepherd, Twisted Flock
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) The first candidate on this list is Pastor Meque. Pastor Meque lives on the 2nd floor of the Chapel. The man is a sadist. If he becomes a Dark Missionary, there's no telling what he'll do. He must die. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) Pastor Meque's death should spread shock and confusion among the other Heretic candidates. Well slain. Note: Pastor Meque can be actually found on the 3rd floor of the Chapel. |
Reward:
Brahato, Conquering Blanc, Honorious Nuan, Flourish Luming or Passionate Demor |
The Heart of the Infection
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) I don't know what the Heretics've been doing, but the dead are rising in our graveyards. That would be fine if they came back as our loved ones, but all we get are rabid zombies! We need know what they did to the bodies, so we may reverse it. I need rotten hearts from Infected Corpses. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) Oh... man... They're all slimy and they smell awful! Let's finish this quickly. Wait, you didn't get bit, did you? |
Reward:
|
Shambling Hordes
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) We need you to keep the undead manageable while we send for help. Kill the Brainwashed Corpses Individually, they're not too difficult, but a horde of them is unstoppable. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) The test results aren't back yet. I know it takes time, but we think we have a pretty good handle on what's happening. |
Reward:
Spirit of Enraged Misty Forest, Harmonic Lumirhum Fallarm or Bright Crem Breaker |
Poor, Unfortunate Souls
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) We don't know why, but we've got a bit of a zombie problem. The Chapel grounds are full of Infected and Brainwashed Corpses. The things are frenzied and attacking everyone. While we try to figure out a solution, could you reduce their numbers? End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) It's disgraceful that our dead are being exploited like this. What a pity... |
Reward:
|
Death to Traitors!
Start: Prime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) This list shows one of our own for the spy he is! Soori was born to us, raised by us and he betrayed us! We believe it was Soori who opened our defenses to the Heretic invasion. In the confusion, he escaped with documents detailing troop movements, logistics, even our passwords! Soori earned a traitor's death. Find him in the Chapel, whatever form he may be wearing. Give him the death he so richly deserves. End: Prime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) The traitor suffers his fate... |
Reward:
Halt, Conquering Blanc, Honorious Nuan, Flourish Luming or Passionate Demor |
Captured Leader
Start: Prime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) Soori stole our documents and kidnapped the prime minister. The traitor gave everything to the Heretics on a silver platter! By the time we realized what happened, our forces were decimated, we had nobody left to send. You need to find Prime Minister Amba. Only she knows how to kill Pontifex Beshurel, your next target. End: Purified Soul of Soori (Chapel) Erbe sent you? Thank heavens! I thought I would die here. You wouldn't believe the horrors the guards inflict on prisoners... |
Reward:
|
Rescue the Prime Minister
Start: Purified Soul of Soori (Chapel) Yes... I remember now... I-I brought Prime Minister Amba here. Good Gods! The Heretics are holding her prisoner in the temple! Please rescue her, before they do something terrible. I can't believe this happened... None of my Lesties'll forgive me. End: Prime Minister Amba (Chapel) Erbe must have sent you here. Thank you. I thought I was going to die here. The only reason I'm still alive and well is because of all the prayers of Lesties. |
Reward:
|
The Imprisoned Mason
Start: Prime Minister Amba (Chapel) Only Dark Missionaries ever see Pontifex Beshurel; he keeps his chambers locked. Gonire the Stonecutter and I carved a key to open up the pontifex's chambers. Gonir was an amazing mason... We were going to kill the pontifex, but the Heretics found out. We were beaten, separated and the key was destroyed. Gonir is still somewhere in the Chapel. Find him. He can help you better than I. End: Stonemason Gonire (Chapel) (shiver) I-I didn't expect anyone would find me... I appreciate what you've done, b-but I only have a short while left... |
Reward:
|
Shards of the Key
Start: Stonemason Gonire (Chapel) If Amba sent someone, she probably wants to activate the machine that opens Beshurel's door, yes? The machine won't work without the key the damn guards broke. Here are the pieces, take them to Amba. (cough) End: Prime Minister Amba (Chapel) You've done very well! |
Reward:
|
Music as a Weapon
Start: Prime Minister Amba (Chapel) I've fixed what I could, it'll work. The plan is pretty simple, really. Add these pieces to the Pipe Organ in the rear of the chapel. It'll play on its own, I ensorcelled the Lesty national anthem in the parts themselves. Here's the genius part: when the Pontifex hears his sworn enemy's national anthem in his own place of power, he'll have to investigate. We use his very hubris to lure him from the safety of his chambers! If he leaves, we can kill him. End: Prime Minister Amba (Chapel) Ah, the Organ fills the Chapel again. These songs bring back memories of a time before Tairen... |
Reward:
Eka,Conquering Blanc, Honorious Nuan, Flourish Luming or Passionate Demor |
A Brief Respite
Start: Prime Minister Amba (Chapel) First, tell Prime Minster Erbe that Beshurel is dead. I'll gather our people and get back to Sio. This war may be far from over, but you've bought us a little peace. End: Prime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) The pontifex is dead and our people are returned to us? This calls for celebration! Huzzah! |
Reward:
|
Traitor's Fate
Start: Prime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) All those Heretics around the temple... they're still multiplying. You must kill Basula, but if we don't do anything about the rest of the Heretics, there could be thousands of them... To take care of the endless problem, you need to find Soori. He was the one who kidnapped our prime minister, he's the one who knows where she is. Find Soori in the Chapel. Make him tell you where Amba is! End: Purified Soul of Soori (Chapel) I'm sorry... I was possessed by the Heretics, it's too late for me. Take this, it's the key to Amba's cell. Please rescue her. It's nice to do something to help my people again... |
Reward:
|
Basula's Door
Start: Prime Minister Amba (Chapel) Stonecutter Gonire, who was kidnapped along with me, is the person you need if you want to get to Basula. Basula's chambers are locked to all except the highest- ranking Heretics. Well, they used to be locked. Gonire and I modified the Pipe Organ to shatter Basula's wards, but the Heretics destroyed the Organ and took Gonire away. If you can find Gonire, you can find a way to reach Basula. End: Stonemason Gonire (Chapel) Thank the gods someone finally found me! So you've come to kill Basula? You'll need this. Put this part back in the Pipe Organ and it should replace what the Heretics smashed. When the Organ plays, Basula's wards will shatter and his door will open. Kill him good for me, huh? |

Prison Chatter
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) We hear the worst monsters are on the 2nd floor of the Chapel. The most unstable or deranged results of whatever experiments the Brotherhood cook up get locked in cells. An unlucky few're forced to patrol the cells. Go upstairs, kill the patrols and take their keys. Use the keys to open the cells and put the Brotherhood Chatters out of their misery. I don't know what their plans for the Chatters were, but it's a good bet to make sure they can't succeed. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) I don't care what they were, nothing should be imprisoned like that. |
Reward:
Arzhtan, Gorgeous Anat, Ifrit of Moonlight, Anticipating Raphid or Stinger of Wave |
Righteous Fury
Start: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) The Temple of Mondshine was the small, intimate chapel where we honored our ancestors. When the Heretics invaded, they enslaved us and used our people to build a giant Chapel to Tairen. Many Lesties died, even more were crippled. It is time to take back what's ours, land and people. Go to the Chapel, follow the first floor passage and slay members of the heretical Brotherhood. Bring the thunder! End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) Our vengeance knows no bounds! |

Reward:
Passionate Demor Staff, Believable Damieng Scythe, Prierr of Victory |
Hold 'Em Off
Start: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) The next step is to kill the slave trackers. The escaping slaves are still weak, they're in no condition to avoid search parties. It won't do us any good to free our people just to have them re-captured... Go to the chapel and hold off the Brotherhood Technicians and the Brotherhood Hunters. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) Every little bit helps, thank you. |
Reward:
Flourish Luming Wand, Believable Damieng Fallarm, Prierr Bow of Victory |
Death to Slavers
Start: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) Our people are escaping in droves. Now we must make sure this never happens again. The boss and mastermind of this whole thing is Brotherhood Boss Goosgo. Make him suffer. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) Never again shall our people be enslaved. |
Reward:
Arzhtan, Gorgeous Anat, Ifrit of Moonlight, Anticipating Raphid or Stinger of Wave |
Darkest Reconnaissance
Start: Commander Riue (Mondshine) Heretics practice their darkest human sacrifices at the Dark Altar in Southwest Mondshine. A place where black crows scream and the very ground oozes death. The Heretics march droves of prisoners to that altar. None return. We need you to find the entrance and report on what's happening. Plan for the worst... End: Commander Riue (Mondshine) You're back! What did you see? Note: Kill Brainwashed Corpse near the Dark Altar entrance. |

An End to Sadness
Start: Boundary Guard Boru (Mondshine) Our former Guard Leader, Crimp, now works for the Heretics. He was the biggest opponent of the Heretics. In a sad turn of events, his wife died in a freak accident. Heartbroken, he fell into drink and vanished. The next we saw, he was seduced by the Heretics and their dark magics. Their claws pierced Crimp's mind too deeply, nothing we've done could bring Crimp back to us. He spends all his waking hours guarding Heretic Priests and Missionaries. Please, end his misery. Give him the chance to find his lover in the next life. End: Boundary Guard Boru (Mondshine) Even though he lost his memories of her, he always kept his wife's letter... Thanks to you, at least he has a chance to be with her again. Note: To complete this quest kill Missionary Wisemen on the 3rd floor of the Chapel. |
Reward:
|
Tunneling to Freedom
Start: Boundary Guard Didie (Mondshine) We still keep in contact with our enslaved clansmen. We offer what aid we can to all escape attempts. The most recent attempt is a tunnel, leading out of the slave catacombs. They used materials salvaged from other parts of the Chapel, but there's a huge problem. The tunnelers were discovered by Contantos and Evil Spirits. The Lesties won't be able to hold them off for long, we need you to rescue them. Go to the Gravesite and save our people! Honoring the Dead
Start: Stonemason Moro (Chapel) Welcome, hero. You know the conditions we face, fatalities are a daily occurrence. The overseers forced us to bury our loved ones in these cold, frigid catacombs... We showed `em, though. These catacombs will be our ticket to freedom! The overseers know our plans, we can't go back now. I worry about are our dead, though. I don't want the Dark Missionaries performing dark rituals with the souls of our dearly departed. Please bring back 10 Lesty bodies from the stone coffins. Give them to Prime Minister Erbe, he performs burial rites. End: Stonemason Moro (Chapel) Thank you, I will make sure nothing evil happens with these remains. We shall hold a memorial service for the departed. Note: To complete this quest kill Coffinkeepers Fanatics. |

The Glowing Prison
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) The darkest of the Dark Missionaries have such control over the minds of others, they transfer their souls to new victims at the moment of death. The only way to fully kill a Dark Missionary is to capture their essence upon death. Just snatch the flickering lights that come out of the corpse. I use glass jars, but anything with a seal will work... Either way, bring them to me and I'll destroy what's left. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) This is the jar? Hmm, it's sort of pretty looking. Know what? I think I'm going to keep this, in a safe place of course. Besides, what could be worse than being eternally imprisoned with 29 other people in a tiny glass jar? Heheheh. |

A Warrior's Blade
Start: Prime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) We live in a time of legends, and the story of one of our soldiers is already spreading through the ranks. He was an unknown warrior who single-handedly fought his way to Beshurel's very door with naught but a plain sword. The cowardly Heretics brought him down with arrows. A hero like that deserves every story we tell about him, and I for one would rescue the hero's blade. Gather your companions, delve into the Chapel and bring back the Sword of our Warrior. End: Boundary Guard Boru (Mondshine) You have truly done a great thing. The Unknown Swordsman shall be remembered as he was, one of our best. Thank you for saving his blade. Note: Black Missionary Pastors can be found at 3rd and 4th floor. |

Essence of Heresy
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) The most advanced Heretics are gifted with dark essences. The most devout fuse the essence to their very chests. They consider them badges of honor, I consider them trophies. Teach Heretics the folly of their pride. Rip the essences from their very flesh and bring them back. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) We shall burn them all. All traces of the Heretics shall be destroyed. This I swear. Note: To complete this quest kill Black Missionary Scholars on the 4th floor of the Chapel. |

Legendary Legendro
Start: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) Have you heard tales of the Legendros? They're raised by Dark Missionaries to be bruisers and enforcers. No one dares to go against Legendros. I truly believe you could be the one to kill them. Kill the Frenzy Legendros and Poisonous Legendros. We don't know much about them, so I really can't offer you any advice... Please save us from their terror. End: Boundary Guard Wigo (Mondshine) This is joyous news! |

Ancient Histories
Start: Magician Ane (Mondshine) The leader of the sacrifices is a woman called Pastor Compra. Whatever she is now, she started out as a woman. This information might get me killed, but you deserve to hear her story. Go see Vendor Brazili. The less I say the better. End: Peddler Basilli (Mondshine) Wait, what's this about? |

Bonds of Law
Start: Peddler Basilli (Mondshine) You want to know about Compra? Do you fear knives in the dark? If not, listen well. Compra started out as a refugee fleeing the war with her two brothers. They were starving, and her brother Sio turned to thievery. He was caught trying to fence a stolen horn, beaten and brought for sentencing. Prime Minister Amba was in charge of that sentencing. Amba was in an awkward position. She knew it was Sio's first offense, and she understood the three were starving. She also knew they weren't really criminals, just victims of circumstance. On the other hand, Amba was sworn to uphold the law. The townspeople feared this influx of refugees, driving them from their doors. While Amba wanted a peaceful solution, the townspeople wanted blood. In the end, Amba followed the letter of the law. Rather than an execution or flogging, Sio was taken to the House of Punishment. He would serve a week of hard labor. His poor health proved no match for the dungeon; he died the first night. Compra was heartbroken, but things would only get worse. End: Peddler Basilli (Mondshine) I must finish the story. People should know the truth. |

Bonds of Blood
Start: Peddler Basilli (Mondshine) Some called it fate, a few even called it righteous retribution. I call Sio's death tragedy, but it was nothing compared to what happened when Compra went to collect Sio's body. Here are the facts as we know them: Something spooked a draft horse as it was tethered to a wagon. The horse bolted, dragging half a carriage behind. The careening horse bore down on the same road as Compra and her brother. Compra jumped out of the way, but her brother wasn't so lucky. It was a freak accident, there was nothing we could do. It wasn't quick. We never even knew his name... Compra's grief turned to rage. She screamed at us, blaming the town for both deaths. She believed we planned the entire thing. The townspeople were horrified; they didn't like refugees, sure, but nobody wanted this. It was an accident in the truest sense of the word. Compra, however, thought differently. She swore vengeance and fled the town. We buried her brothers as best we could and never saw her again. Life went on, until the Tairen Heresy. Rescued Lesties mention a high priestess that sounds suspiciously like Compra. You should tell Prime Minister Erbe this story. Perhaps Compra's revenge is at hand. End: Pime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) We didn't want this to happen. Compra was the victim of tragedy, but her misplaced thirst for revenge poisoned her. I don't know what dark deals she struck, but we'll all reap what she sowed. Vengeance only begets vengeance. |

Bonds of Vengeance

Please, end the story of Compra. Go to her Dark Altar. Kill her. End: Pime Minister Erbe (Mondshine) Such a small series of events, such wide-ranging consequences... Poor Compra. I mourn for the women she once was. |

Fleshbound Prison
Start: Peddler Basilli (Mondshine) There are two reasons people can't escape from the Dark Altar: death and coercion. We can't do much for the dead, but those under a magical compulsion can still be saved. The Heretics use blood to bind our people to dark Covenants. The Covenant separates mind from the body, ceding bodily control to the bearer of the Covenant. The mind stays trapped in its former shell. I want you to go to the Dark Altar and find where they keep the Covenants. Bring them to me so I may purify them in holy fire. End: Peddler Basilli (Mondshine) These are their Covenants? I will destroy them at once! |
Reward:
Anticipating Raphid Bow, Stinger Fallarm of Wave, Stinger Scythe of Wave |
The End of Training
Start: Commander Riue (Mondshine) The Heretics offer Tairen bloody sacrifices on the Dark Altar. Its dark stone crevices are gummed up with blood, offal and the souls of victims. Up for another? |

That's amazing! |

Your way will be fraught with traps, Dark Missionaries, evil spirits and the very leaders of the Heretics. Slay the three leaders of the dark Missionaries. End their tyranny!
