Boss Raid monsters
The Boss Raid monsters are an event that started the summer of 2007. It consists of four, super-strong monsters - one on each map, on every channel:
If you have ever run into one of these monsters, you will know that they are very big and very strong. Each of them has elemental attack/defense and a lot of HP (for details please check the Monster Information page for specific map). They are extremely difficult to solo (kill alone). These monsters were implemented to encourage players to get into parties with each other and work together.
The Boss Raid monsters respawn roughly 2 hours after being killed. If a Boss Raid monster is not attacked for 14 minutes after arriving somewhere, it will teleport to a new spot. The Boss Raid monsters usually end up spawning in the most active spot on the map. This is because the Boss Raid monsters are coded to spawn where the latest kill was made. Low levels kill much faster and easier than high levels, so their chances of being spawned on are greater. Anyone who is doing a lot of killing in one spot has an increased chance of being spawned on.
The arrival of a Boss Raid is announced by a message in the middle of your screen, for example:
The Boss Raid monsters are not aggressive (although they were in the past). They won't attack you, unless you hit them first. However, Grand Devilroad Kamira is protective over Death Goddesses and she will certainly attack, if you kill a Death Goddess in her presence.
When a Boss Raid HP drops to 50%, it will give itself a self-buff, Grand Trust, that strengthens him for a short time. When a Boss Raid monster is near death and its HP drops below 20% it will spawn a group of monsters to give it aid. These might be very dangerous not only because they attack in group and agro immediately, but also might distract the player.
When you kill a Boss Raid monster, regardless of your level, it will always drop:
Lucky Scroll [5] | Great Healing Potion [10]
Moon Stone [5] | Medium Mana Potion [10]
Medal of Honor [1] | [Greater] Crystal of Experience [1]
Hero's Necklace [1] | Scroll of Memorizing [5] |
and possibly a unique accessory.
Aside from the monsters listed above two other mobs act like a Boss Raid, however the respawn time and possible drops list is different:
Skeleton General
Level: 153 Location: Mondshine Monsters spawned when near death: none Respawn time: 55 minutes Possible drops:
|
Black Tyrant Ramslo's Phantom

Unlike the original four Boss Raids, both of these monsters have Iron Wall ability.
